How long has JewelryNest been in business?

JewelryNest shareholders have been fine jewelry manufacturers for over 30 years. Our online store launched in 1998, making us one of the longest-running the finest jewelry retailers on the web.

Where are you located?

We are based in Woodmere, NY. For security and insurance reasons, we do not accept walk-in visits.

How do I place an order?

All purchases are made through our website. For custom orders or special inquiries, please get in touch with us directly.

Diamonds & Gemstones

Are your diamonds certified?

Absolutely. Every diamond we sell comes with a certification from a recognized gemological lab (such as GIA or IGI). We'll always show you the paperwork — no surprises.

What's the difference between lab-grown and natural diamonds?

Same sparkle, same hardness, same chemical makeup — lab-grown diamonds are just created in a controlled environment rather than mined from the earth. They're a beautiful, more affordable option, and we carry both so you can choose what feels right for you.

Shipping & Delivery

How long does it take to receive my order?

Since each piece is handcrafted and custom-made in-house, please allow 1–3 business days for processing and up to 2 weeks for delivery. Expedited options are available at checkout.

How long does standard shipping take?

Standard shipping typically takes 2–5 business days after processing. All orders ship via FedEx with full insurance coverage.

Will someone need to be present to sign for my delivery?

Yes. All JewelryNest packages require an authorized signature upon delivery. If you're unavailable, the carrier will leave a notice with redelivery or pickup instructions.

What if my package is lost or damaged in transit?

Every shipment is fully insured. Responsibility lies with the carrier from the moment your order leaves our facility.

How do I track my order?

Once your order ships, you'll receive a confirmation email with your FedEx tracking number. Use it at fedex.com to follow your package in real time.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes, we ship internationally via FedEx. International orders must have a minimum item total of $700. Free shipping applies to US orders only. Shipping fees for international orders are calculated at checkout based on destination and order value. All charges are processed in USD. Customs inspections may add 1–2 days to transit time.

Returns & Exchanges

What is your return policy?

We want you to love your purchase. If you need to return or exchange an item, send a written request within 30 days of the invoice date, including your invoice number and the item(s) you wish to return. Once authorized, ship the item back in its original condition. Please note a 15% restocking fee applies to all returns.

Can I resize my ring?

Yes. All rings are sized at 6 by default. If your ring doesn't fit, return it within 30 days for resizing. Each size up costs $25; each size down costs $15. You are responsible for return shipping costs.

Can I adjust the length of my necklace?

Yes. Our necklaces are 16 inches by default. Each additional inch costs $25–$35, depending on the chain's weight and style.

Can I customize an existing piece?

Absolutely. Custom ordering is a core part of what we do. Whether you want to modify an existing design — different stone size, shape, or metal — or create something entirely new, our design team will work with you from concept to completion. Reach out to get started.

Do you create fully custom jewelry from scratch?

Yes, and we love doing it. We've been crafting bespoke pieces for over 30 years. Reach out, and we'll walk you through the process from stone selection to final setting.

How do I get started with a custom order?

Contact us and describe what you have in mind. Our team specializes in bespoke fine jewelry and can bring virtually any design to life.

Appraisals & Certifications

Do your pieces come with an appraisal?

All items over $800 include a complimentary third-party appraisal from UGL (Universal Gemological Laboratory) for insurance purposes. Items under $800 can receive an appraisal for a $75 fee upon request.

Which gemological labs do you work with?

JewelryNest works with UGL (Universal Gemological Laboratory) for appraisals. Other widely respected labs include GIA (Gemological Institute of America), AGS (American Gemological Society), and HRD. Note: EGL and IGI grades typically run 1–2 grades looser than GIA/AGS, so factor that in when comparing stones.

Payment & Tax

What payment methods does JewelryNest accept?

We accept all major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover), Shop Pay, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and bank wire transfers. Wire transfers receive a 1.5% discount (note: both issuing and receiving banks may charge wire fees).

Do you charge sales tax?

Sales tax of 8.625% applies to orders shipped to New York State addresses only.

Warranty & Care

Do your pieces come with a warranty?

Yes. All JewelryNest pieces are covered by a one-year warranty from the original invoice date. The buyer is responsible for shipping costs associated with warranty service.

How do I find my ring size?
